Special motorboat tours are made from Tulcea, on the canals and especially near the Nebunu and Purcelu bird colonies, without entering their area.
Preferably first thing in the morning or at sunset when the sunlight reflects in a fantastic way on the countless bird species. We can photograph or just observe 
white pelican, dalmatian pelican, spoonbill, squacco heron, night heron, great and little egret, glossy ibis, certainly the majestic white tailed eagle, red necked grebe, 
little grebe, purple heron, king fisher and many, many other bird species. 
The advantage of these tours is that they can be done with fewer people, two or more, you benefit from professional birdwatching guidance.
